June 1, 2009 The deadline for all Western Hemisphere travel, including land border travel. The specific requirements for the land border crossing will be outlined before this date. Note: June 1, 2009, is the deadline; it's possible - with proper notice - for the date to move up.
I found this on the web. -
Thanks for that information... looks like they've moved it back! Although http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html says "Summer 2008", it looks like the Department of State just hasn't made up its mind.

The kindly folks at the border have really been pushing for passports for the past two-three years. I hate giving mine up as that it has stamps from being used overseas. They always ask what I was doing(Adopting some kids) but I hate shareing that with them. Just always felt like it wasn't any of their business. I guess I'm just one of those privacey nuts that doesn't want to be in some government data base. Course if they put me in then maybe they'd quit askin'.

Yea, I'm going to a 3rd party school.
At 100$ every 9,000 miles, it would take me 2-2.5 years to make it all back. Lame. -
You guys that headed up to Roehl's RDTC let me know how that went for you. Im thinking about it myself.
-
There are 3 of us here now - Darin C., Jim R. and I. Craig M. is starting next week = 4. This is a good place. I am glad I chose Roehl.
-
More positive feedback from those in the Roehl trenches. Man, I really envy you guys. I sure wish I would have chosen a company like Roehl when I started out. I may still be driving for that company today, over 12 years later.
What was the name of my first company, a company a bunch of my fellow school grads and I chose right out of the gate only to last six months at longest? Let me give you a hint: Jerry Moyes. -
Nevermind, I guess they give you money every few months too so it won't take quite that long.
-
I get my $100 bucks (minus taxes which sux) every 9,000 dispatched miles, but it took me a little while to figure out what it was on my pay stub. They list it as a bonus on the pay stub. And I thought I was just doing a really good job.............
