Check out WTI Transport out of Tuscaloosa,Al. they hire O/O and they do ALOT of Blytheville,AR.,and they can have you home every weekend. I'm a company driver with them.I've talked to alot of the O/O's and Lease to own drivers and they say the money for the O/O's is great. I know I can't complain about the company pay but I'm ready to go the O/O route myself. As an O/O with them you can pull their trailers so they do the up keep on them.

WTI I see them in Blytheville hauling pipe alot. Down to Midland and north Dakota I think all preloaded trailer just tighten down a few straps hook up and go. That would be a pretty nice gig. but like I said earlier I'm going back to a company I worked for a few years ago where at least I'll know what to expect . thxs for all the input.

Mercer does not have enough freight for all the drivers. A few , a FEW, seem to make it but most loads are 1.60 after DH, and with the sitting.. you can not make even close to a decent living.

A few, a FEW cannot make it at Mercer because THEY don't have the business skills to think for themselves. Mercer is not going to hold your hand and tell you what to do.

Business skills do not increase rates.. business skills do not decrease dead headed miles and sitting time and lack of detention pay. Smart business skills tell you to quit Mercer cause you are just spinning your wheels with mercer.

Wrong, I am not spinning my wheels here. I am doing very, very well. Good business skills will tell you not to take a load into a bad area that is paying a marginal rate. Sounds like you guys are one of the ones that show up around here once in a blue moon, think you have to run coast to coast to make any money in trucking, then complain to the whole world because you don't have the mental fortitude to figure it out. If you want to run like that then don't come here and think you are going to get rich, in fact your probably SOL, because I don't think there is anywhere to truck like that anymore.
