Thanks. I would hate it if the truck was always rolling.

Umm... That's the point if being on the road, to drive. And the trainer is there to help you, not drive for you....

and are you saying that the trainer should have bought you dinner? when i started training, i had $60 in my pocket, that was it, good thing we are able to get advances cause i was broke, and my trainer didnt have a fridge or microwave. I had bought some food with me because at first the trainer that was lined up did have those things but at the last minute they changed trainers on me. I just used the microwave at the truck stops when we were there. The trainer has a life outside of that truck just like you, bills, and probably other mouths to feed. Your time out with a trainer is to drive as much as you can and learn as much as you can about how things are done so you can go out and do it solo.

And I do have a fridge on my truck and my ELD HAS been on my truck less than 24 hrs who's broke and I gave him some of my lunch meat. So I guess it all depends on attitude

DRIVER I THINK YOU PICK ANOTHER PROFESSION !! NO ONE OWES YOU A #### THING . your lucky your not working for a big box company where the trainer sleeps while you drive , personally if I'm not puttin out 500-600 mies a day then i dont feel like I am making money

OK ,drivers just stating what been going on with trainer with no fridge or micro. in truck ,but it sure would have been lot better with it , cause they know how much we get paid ,also no attitude problems, so lets not get all bent out of whack here over a simple question asks!!! Easydrive, You may have THOUGHT you were only asking a question in your original post, but in it, you managed to call your trainer a "jerk." Your INTENTION may have been to question the amount of time you were being asked to drive, but the tone and choice of words communicated a much different message.

I suggest you take a deep breath and re-read anything you write when you are upset BEFORE you post it.

I am not addressing your original question because I don't have sufficient experience to do so, but when it comes to the written word, I DO, so I did.

    Good luck with training.

    Paloma Thanks this.
