2tickets and a accident coming out of my record starting next year, 30cpm wouldn't be so bad otr but I'm running sears dedicated getting anywhere from 1500 to 2k miles a week

With 1 yr. Exp I would def. Hold off on buying your own tractor for awhile. If your in Nj and run local an hourly position wouldn't be a bad choice. It's hard to turn big miles in the tri-state area week after week.

Get 1 more year under your belt and take Largecar359's advice. This will give you time to really do your homework before you become an owner operator.

No, don't want him to go broke. Don't even know the guy, but I want him to be successful.

I've known some successful container/drayage guys and known some failures. The failures bought more truck than they needed.
