so what is the not so great about your record? That info will help out on any suggestions
-
With 1yr exp. .30cpm isn't really that bad...
-
2tickets and a accident coming out of my record starting next year, 30cpm wouldn't be so bad otr but I'm running sears dedicated getting anywhere from 1500 to 2k miles a week

Google : container trucking companies New Jersey
-
With 1 yr. Exp I would def. Hold off on buying your own tractor for awhile. If your in Nj and run local an hourly position wouldn't be a bad choice. It's hard to turn big miles in the tri-state area week after week.

Get 1 more year under your belt and take Largecar359's advice. This will give you time to really do your homework before you become an owner operator.

Why? You want him to go broke?dannythetrucker and lorha1159 Thank this.
-
No, don't want him to go broke. Don't even know the guy, but I want him to be successful.
I've known some successful container/drayage guys and known some failures. The failures bought more truck than they needed. -
I would work for werner at .30 cpm before I put my truck on a company hauling cans.
dannythetrucker, lorha1159, jbatmick and 3 others Thank this.
