Get yourself some Melatonin from the vitamin section. It's a natural sleep aid. I don't take it every night, only on those nights or days when I'm not sleepy but have to get some sleep. I usually get close to 8 hrs.

Is there a time of day that you find exhausting? I feel so drained in the afternoons. From about 2pm until 5 or 6pm.... I feel like my entire body is full of sand. Afternoons are my kryptonite. I sleep better then than I do any other time of day. I don't know whether it's due to the slant of the sun's rays or some weird mental thing with me.
I'm not a driver yet (I just got my CDL), but I'm hoping I can arrange my driving schedule (as much as possible) so that I don't have to drive in the late afternoon. -
I only have trouble sleeping when I'm at home.
I sleep much better in the Truck.
