Fixed,
. The suspension is rated for 18,000 each. Paccar literature says the AG 380/Flex Air set ups are just shy of 400 lbs lighter than their traditional suspensions. So if weight is a concern, it is what you want. Have it on mine & it is a 2003 with no issues.
LongBlackTrain Thanks this. -
I have the 380 on my 05 and have never had any problems. Bushings are all still original and in good shape. I have not ever needed an alignment either, has always stayed within specs. Not bad for 1.2 million.
BigSky, LongBlackTrain and bender Thank this. -
my bad!! its an ok suspension but not ideal for heavy haul loads like the 400 or 460.
-
Only reason I caught it is because I do the same thing.

You are right though, it is not what you want if you haul heavy. I run a 6/7 car high mount trailer & loaded, trailer axles are always heavier than drives. -

it's listed as a 38000 # suspension.
I pull b-trains and regularly tax that number. Never had a problem with it and it rides ok. I think I'd get the ag40L on my next truck. -
I know I have a better pdf around here somewhere.. just suspensions..

Thank you. I already checked them. The AG400 seems fairly complicated and some people complained for harsh ride on highway, although very good off road. The AG380 seems o.k., but not everybody liked it. Also interesting, after ten years of trashing on "trailing arm" design, and they have the new AG400L. Which is a trailing arm suspension.

They needed to design a suspension that would allow the use of rear disc, none of their other suspensions allowed the clearance needed for the caliper. That is the only reason.

I see. Thank you for the info.
