    Hey Guys,

I'm looking for some info about those motors, personally I have an experience with 6NZ and MBN motors. So can anyone tell me how that BXS would stack up against those 2 ??? What kind of fuel mileage should i expect out of BXS ??? Any major problems ??? I heard mixed opinions about Cats those days, some of O/O love them same say Cat ain't Cat anymore. How's the reliability ???

PS. I did some research on the BXS motors but couldn't find any consistent info.

    THANKS

the bxs is easy to convert to a single turbo 6nz style if you want. eaisier than the nxs or mxs. and alot cheaper to do.

My BXS went to 1,001,600. Started taking 1-2 gallons of oil a week, then the injector cup(s) filled the coolant with diesel fuel. So I just had it inframed. I think it would of went farther before these problems but the six months before the inframe I was pulling a triple axle cow trailer running up to 97,000lbs and running the hell out of it. Still had original turbos and injectors. Replaced the water pump around 270,000, the shaft on it broke. Replaced one IVA around 740,000. Otherwise never had any trouble from it, changed the oil and fed it fuel. I average 5.6 with it.

    bubbanbrenda Thanks this.

I pull a smooth bore tank, and I'm empty 35-40% thats probably why the difference in MPG's.My water pump lasted 800,000 but the previous owner tried to limp it home from St.Louis,so it got a new(remaned)head also.Just replaced my 1st actuator selinoid last week.Top turbo died in July got a killer deal on a complete set of used ones that a buddy of mine singled out at 310,000.

Before I got rid of the one I had replaced a broken exhaust rocker, inner spring broke, exhaust studs broke, 3 fans hubs, 2 sets of turbos, and exhaust sleeves broke. I think that is it for the one i had. Everything except the fan hubs was warranty work.
