During breakup all you make is your salary, roughly $2800 a month net. When working you average $4500 to $6000 net a month. When it's balls to the wall in the winter, some operators have netted $9000 or more. One guy worked thru his days off and netted $13000 one month. But that is the exception, not the rule.

I am leaving early in the morning and will be at Hinton between 10 and 11 AM and then if things don't work at Trican Hinton, I am heading to Red Deer. Hopefully, I don't have to go to Red Deer, but you never know.

Just spoke to the Trican recruiter. Said they have a hiring freeze on in Red Deer. Thinks Provost might be hiring 2 class 1 positions.

Talk to Paul or George in provost. They are always looking for drivers for their size that's a very busy base.

Remember, cement can only set in the dark. Hope you like truck sleepers.

As long as the $$$ gets deposited in the bank and there is a hose to wash me down, I'm gonna do just fine! LoL

Looks like this is a nasty job, from other comments I have seen elsewhere. Apart from nights and early starts, just how nasty is it?

I'm guessing the trade off is bigger $$$?
