two cans from newark to Buffalo NY..light but god #### that thing catches the wind horribly!

 

Well I've been MIA for a bit. Posted like 300+ pages ago lol. I left flatbedding did some straight truck and local refer work for a bit and in a week I take over this beauty


so back flat decking...sorta lol

 

I've hauled can's 3 times, and each time I lost my ### on the MPG aspect. I refuse to haul them anymore unless they are paying $4 a mile (which they never are) I avg 7.3mpg now, but with a can it goes down to 5.5mpg

 

Between the fact you are literally pulling a Lead Sled and the hill climbs on I80-I380-I81 Getting up there Im sure my MPG was around 4.8-5mpg. Paid only 900 for 350 Loaded miles..feel a bit bad pulling it for that rate knowing the hills or what not but Im now under a gravy load of steel from Buffalo to Hartford CT!

 

that second picture of fland's makes me think i need to pick up more straps

 

Shipper requested a trailer with lots of straps. Well, every trailer has got around 23 of them, should be enough.

It was a much nicer load then that load of suicide board, you never got straps enough for loads like that...
