oilfield the new adventure begins will keep you updated

well its 900 a month....but thats what it gonna end up being...cuz we are moving saturday...signed the lease today on our apt....and had to fork over another $1475. for that (1st mo rent and dep)....soooo broke the bank...LOL..BUT we have a place to live....

 

let me also say this....i have been job hunting for the last 2 weeks...and have applied a ton of places.....i finally found a job yest and took my pre employ drug and alcohol....but it took a TON of places first. i am not after the big hrs like most ppl here are....i wanted 50~60 hrs a week..with weekends off (thats what CB has)..and it was a HARD find..i had most of them tell me because i didnt have vac trk exp. they wouldnt hire me..NOW GRANTED...i have been driving almost 22 years....and i KNOW most of these places hire newbies....its not that easy for a woman to get a driving job in the oilfield....i have a CLEAN PSP report....NO ACCIDENTS...1 speeding ticket (7 over).. no DUI/DWI..NO FELONIES/MISDEMENORS....i have basically a SPOTLESS record....and i had trouble finding work...so maybe the guys can walk in just anywhere and get a job here (CB did)....but i found it to be a tough deal ...

i found a place tho that i start at 7 am and work til 4 or so....mon ~ fri...belly dump and dump truck...THE TRUCK FOREMAN is A WOMAN!!!!! she will be my immed boss.... so we will see how my health holds up...thats also one of the reasons i didnt want a ton of hrs. they have decent equip.but they dont pay the big money either like the oilfield jobs...its only $14.50 an hr....but i was willing to do that because there wasnt anyplace that didnt expect 80+ hrs a week....so this suits my needs..

 

LOL....cute...yeah soooo thats WHY you didnt come to bed for a while...trying to type that post...thank goodness it wasnt any longer or you will still be at it..

the day he had the blowouts..(thurs) he started at 6 am and didnt get back to the yard til 9p...got in bed by 10p...back up at 3:30a (he had to be in at 5)...then didnt get to bed til after 1 this morning and back up at 6a....dang feels like we are on the road again....


got things moved to our apt here tho..and boy is it it nice and quiet...

i am excited to start work Mon...but a little nervous since i have never pulled belly dump...

so even tho we had a rocky start, like CB said, things seem to be smoothing out...y'all have a good weekend and be safe...

thanks....oh we have stuff...its all in storage...LOL...and i dunno, guess i will have a lot of catching up to do on the weekend huh???

all those years team driving I can just see the stuff vinyl records double knit leisure suitsand an old computer with a floppy drive

 

lol....no dont think so...i do know tho i am gonna have to down size even more that i did before we put stuff in storage....cuz our place was 1717 sq feet...this is less than 800....soooooo more stuff has got to go...mostly knick knacks and decorations...i had a huge kitchen in my last place...
