names todd :). I am out of vidalia. I can't believe all the stuff this company does for their drivers. I don't think I have felt this appreciated by any company and that's not just talking about trucking companies. you still just as pleased with them as you were?

yes i am, ran local today, i was home well before lunch time, drove less than 30 miles and still made 200. i had a casual conversation with my former trainer the other week about getting a spare key, it was with my paperwork this morning. I got a call from the main office the other week asking me everything was going ok so far. I cant believe how lucky I am to be here.

How about some details on the pay? Pay per mile. Unloading pay. How much are you paid for sick days? Personal days? Holiday pay? How many per year? How is vacation pay calculated? How much does the medical insurance cost for family coverage?

Hi all! My dh has been with Dot for 6 months as a driver...before that, he worked in the warehouse for them for a year. On both sides, they appreciate their employees. I must say, he makes a MUCH better living as a driver! As far as advice, duckdiver is right on, be as professional as you can and answer truthfully. Re: payment, I'm sure it varies by location, according to cost of living for the area. Vacation, sick, personal days are paid per hour for 8 hours. Insurance is a little expensive, but it's good coverage.
