What kind of info are you looking for exactly? The screw trucks were made by Boydstun Metal Works out of Portland, OR. They went out of buisiness a few years ago so you would not be able to contact them for repairs and info. The screw parts of the actuator need to be kept well lubed in order to work right. All the ones I have seen are strap types (no chaining) and we have a few in our fleet. They are not as reliable as the regular hydrolic setups but being as the whole industry is going to "straps only" it might not be a bad investment. Boydstun made good stuff and them and Cottrell were the two big guys in the industry. If it is more that 5 years old there are going to be welds that are prob. cracking and you should have a good repair shop that specializes in car haulers to give the truck a good going over before you buy it.

I concur with KONAKONGS. I believe Cottrell is carrying parts for Boydstuns now. My question is what kind of climate are you in ? I know of a few company drivers that ran them up here in the north east, and come late fall, they cursed them. Besides the cold, the salt and sand reeked havac on the motors and the screw posts. I haven't seen a screw set up up here in a few years now.
