Laredo, got in at noon, it is now almost 1700 and can't sleep. Got a preplan before I even arrived. Never happened in Laredo before! Figured if I read a few threads I will get sleepy. OUt of here around 2200 so, hopefully a few hours of shut eye would be nice...be safe you all.

Sitting in eastern PA, del at 10:45 AM so day #4 wasted by Joplin this week. Been MT/on board by 0700 each day w/ 4+ hrs of drive time (full break done by 0900 most days, d/h's around 2300) and have averaged 289 mi per day. Super thrilled. So this week I will get a min. of 650 less miles for all week vs last week when I was home till Tuesday, doesn't make much sense to me since I only worked 4.5 days last week compared to 7 this week. As always I'm sure no one in Joplin will be reprimanded/talked to about it even after inquiring about miles 2 times this week.

So remember, drivers DON'T MAKE ANY MISTAKES or you'll get written up; office staff.. Screw it half ### your job because there are no consequences and you'll still get the same check.

Not to get off topic and it isn't completely but due to a conversation I had with family earlier and dieing need to focus on random stuff right now I've got a ?Question?

Is Cabot brand cheese not well known/loved outside of New England?

I always thought it was pretty well known/saught after but got to thinking that it might just be a regional thing.

2 for me last week and a 32 hr near reset at the end of the previous week. Had it not been for a jit oad and a driver falling ill I would have sat for 48ish hrs.

Then after 9 weeks out I can't even take a few days off because I rolled in at 2300 on Tuesday with less than 800 miles. That equals having to roll back out today in hopes of salvaging the week.

Top 3 in my fleet last month to the food stamp office this week. Part time sucks.

My problem is that if I wanted to average 2000-2500 miles I would have went to Maverick. The pay starts 8 cents higher. Even with the raise it will take 2 years get to their starting pay.I was fine with that because if I'm going to be on the road I just want to work. I didn't want to sit a lot and these miles mean a lot of sitting. If I wanted to sit I would have taken more per mile to do it.......do u know what I mean? I can honestly say that I don't want to leave.....I love it here. I just want the miles that I was told I would run if I stayed out and hustled.
