Renting and fuel wasn't bad. It was the mileage that was the killer. I'm glad I'm never moving again! :) The only reason I went with them is that's all we have locally.

One of the other companies I would of have to drop it off 60 miles away. Plus Uhaul has guys that will load/unload for you off the website.

Looking at the numbers the three of us put up and the sequence, it looks like it'll be $2000 to move anywhere in a couple years. :biggrin_25510:

Man, I know times are tight but don't risk your income source by doing something like that. If you are anything like me, Murphy hates your guts and you'd be caught...

If he would of put all the information about moving 36 hours from his present location then I doubt if this thread would of went over 1 page. Most I'm sure thought he was probably moving local in which case the company doesn't know what is in the trailer, and you can possibly get away with it.

Oh if you do find a company that lets you do that. I think you could have yourself a moving and storage business on the side. When you on your home time.

I used a Budget vanbob almost 10 years ago I think it was around $50/day that could have been for the weekend tho, can't remember. There was also a mileage charge that would have ran the fee up over twice that amount if I hadn't crawled underneath and unhooked the speedo plug from the trans.
