    Simple Question ....

I have a load that picks up in NYC at JFK Airport area ... my Truck GPS has me coming into NY from above which bypasses the GW bridge ...

    RT17 over the Hudson River
I-95 South then truck routes to PU

Anyone know if this is a good route ?

Where are you coming from? I didn't know 17 actually crossed the hudson...it comes down and meets 80 which runs east to catch 95north to the gw... The direction and area you are coming from make a difference, also are you paying the tolls?

If it's nighttime-from 95 take 278east across the goethals, across staten island. to 678 south. if you are coming from mid jersey.
If from albany area, i'd go 87s to 84 east to 684s to 287east to 95 south to 678 south across the whitestone straight down to the airport to save on tolls on your way south and across the hudson. Ive delivered jobsites there before...good luck-you are likely to need it!

Fyi: NJT is not 95, officially 95 doesn't exist between
Trenton & 80, when NJT merges w/80-80 is redesignated 95
Anyway when going in off NJT (from south)take exit#10 & follow 440 south across Outdrbridge Crossing, then follow 440 to 278 into Bklyn then 495 to 678 to JFK/unless u r crazy like me, then I'll take u thru Bklyn on surface streets, and Beat all the traffic!! LOL
    Just my $.02

IIRC outerbridge has construction closures lately. Why fight the local lanes on 440 just to skip the goethals? I did it once to get around an accident, seemed a lot more time and stoplights...not trying to pull your strings-just the way I recalled it being.
(Also just left it at 95 for the OP to keep it simple, seemed polite way to make it easy)

Just take the whitestone bridge to the van wyck south and the you take the conduit to JFK. Its 3 roads. Just so you know a lot of NY roads dont have the giant numbers on the signs so you know which route. They're little blue signs on the sides of the road which is why i gave you names.

Or take the throgs neck bridge to the LIE (495) to the van wyck and follow above. You're coming into NY you're going to hit traffic no matter what time of day it is. I live here, trust me.

    Edit-Where are you coming from
