side/belly dump, it's a fun challenge to place material where the blade/dozer needs it not just dump, plus always changing materials and location.
What do you prefer and why?

I would have to say Flatbed. There is more "work" to it than pulling a van around bumpin docks. I started off pulling a van all over the place and it was always the same thing. DOCKS that it just docks. Never anything new. I moved on to Flatbed and never have a dull moment. I also enjoy pulling a hopper bottom hauling out of fields. Oh and flatbed pays alot better than any van I ever pulled..

Step would be my preference. i can get some rgn loads on this wagon and i love the challenge of securing it all down, and some times the challenge of getting on the trailer.
my waist is smaller and wallet bigger than pulling a vanLast edited by a moderator: Oct 16, 2012

You mean you #### less ? or do you mean waistallniter Thanks this. -
sorry bout the typo and yes i mean waist -
Lowboys. The bigger the load the more money in my pocket...usually..

I prefer a tank but I make more money pulling a reefer doing LTL and I'm home every week..
Truth be told I'm tired of reefer's but I like the paycheck..
Logan76 Thanks this. -
Virtually all my career has been hauling dry box. Don't have the patience for some of the schedules reefers are required to adhere to. Pulled propane for a year back in 99....would love to retire doing tankers, and in fact will probably look into that inside of three years. And not OTR, either.

Flatbed with a conestoga, no messing around with tarps or a junk side kit, throw it on there and go, preferably doing alot of stops every load, I like doing LTL flatbed, bit more of a challenge and alot more $$$.
Lonesome Thanks this. -
That would also be my choice, with a curtainside flat being second. No throwin' tarps for me!Logan76 Thanks this.
