Sure, if you posted about it, it means something to you.... keep it, even if it stays in a box

My personal favorite "daily talker" is a Royce 1-641 that needed a bit of work when I got it, a little un-modding, and a thorough alignment, but now it's better than factory specs.
I've got about 25 of their models. Generally speaking none of their line were real powerhouses, but they've got a lot of quaint appeal. With the exception of the "tuna can" synthesizers in several of them, and the odd connection scheme for their sorta-modular series, they can be pretty reliable, as long as you don't need a lot of fancy bells & whistles.
I enjoy having to use phonetics on 38 LSB when I'm telling some "young whippersnapper" (anyone under about 40)
what the radio is that I'm using
They're mostly pretty easy to work on, and there are a ton of them on eekBay if you need a boneyard for parts.

A Royce is a good old radio. Keep it.

What model Royce are you referring to?
Interesting is how some consider the Royce a good radio, yet they don't bring much, if any, money.
