Thundercat
I last drove for them back in 99/00 & you were told that you would be out on the road for 8 - 10 weeks then home 1 week
Pretty sure that's the same now
You could call & speak with them if it's changed or not
As long as you hustle the loads they will keep you busy, but you have to make sure they don't over use that
Got to remember that your dispatcher goes home ever night where you only get to go home one week for every 2/2.5 months out
Repair wise they do good on keeping your company truck in good shape
I had one of the faster trucks so I kept things going
This isn't for those who don't want to be away from family for long times
You can slip by for a night or maybe a weekend depending on your load, but most of your time is going to be OTR
My trainer driver would sometimes stop at his girl friends house if we were close by & stay the night while he put me in the closest hotel
All depends on the loads
If you get your truck & they see your not making good time they will pull you out & put you back with a trainer driver until that TD thinks your back on the mark
You can try CRST,but they run only teams & you'll need doubles & triples on your CDL
Me I like the room I had in my FL Classic Condo 10spd
So call them & check what's the deal now with out time then you make the decisionseawind Thanks this. -

I used to work for ATS, I live in Platssburgh NY and I only got home every 4 weeks, I left in Oct 2011. I was a L/O I made good money but i didnt sit waiting for the "good" loads, which i think hurt a lot of there L/O,O/O because none of them would go to Canada, NYC or any other citys. I would say there better than most compays i've herd about but idk i've only worked for one other company.
seawind Thanks this. -
just called they asked 2-3 weeks i said 2 was max they were ok with it looking at leasing
