Rule about where to position a single steel coil on a flatbed

    it looks as if the tandem pins are not engaged on the front so that could be the cause


    i have never hauled a coil so i don't understand the chain issue..

    i would think you should have chains and binders on both sides but maybe i off on that

    Mouse over the strip on the last photo, then when the viewer comes up click on it and if you've got Firefox, click Cntrl and + to magnify the photo, you can see the chains and straps hanging from the high end and across the flatbed deck. It looked like 5-6 chains to me and 2 straps.

    Say ur getting 3 coils..1 is 30000..1 is 9000..1 is 7000..how can I load these..last time I centered them all with the big in middle..I'd like to separate them so its easier to tarp..when they were together it was a pain in the ###

    Center the 30k, 9k to the rear, 7k to the front spaced evenly from center.

    You should locate a single coil at the load center of the trailer. You should know how to locate the load center. I like to have mine marked on both sides of the deck.
