I'm not a truck salesman....I'm just too lazy to work and too chicken to steal, so I sell trucks...........
-
I will have tandem with one pusher and one tag axle. It has the same weight limit than other tandems. 40,000 or 46,000 pounds.

It is true, the truck sales guys are lazy, they try to push me accept the specification what they have ready in the computer. But they are not chicken to steal my money. They come up such a rip off prices.......... I have a very hard time to figure out the truth. They try to keep me like mushrom. Keep in dark and feed with manure.

I'm not a truck driver) I own trucks and guys drive for me) and I fix trucks)
Really I can see that smart truck driver is usually driver-owner.
So all this electronic stuff is to avoid some human mistakes -
I don't doubt you have come across salespeople like that, but as all truckers are not fat, dirty, piss-bomb throwers, all salespeople are not rip-offs. I can't sell anyone a truck, I can help them buy one. I have never had a customer come in for parts or service and strongarmed them into a new truck, this is not a "point-of-purchase display, impulse purchase" candybar at the supermarket check out!
The only way you can be a mushroom nowadays is if you want to be one.....this thing called the internet has made a lot of information available to those who look for it. Like say, this forum!
If I put you in a truck that doesn't do the job for you are you likely to come back? Will you refer your friends and co-workers to me? Not likely. I have more to lose jamming you into something that I know is wrong than ordering you a truck or even passing on the sale.
I have no problem being made fun of, hey my wife is a PRO at it! But just as I wouldn't claim you to be a lane-hog, cutoff artist without knowing you, please don't lump me with others until I prove otherwise.......Oram and The Challenger Thank this. -
Of course, you are right. I am little upset right now because of my recent experiences, but I am absoletly sure, ther are decent sales guys out there, just a little hard to single out them..... Or maybe not that hard, just I am lazy too.

Anyway, I did not want to offend you,.... just a little poking. So I apologize.
But it was a high ball.
And I am clean and fit too.

really interesting how US market is limited in many ways including this
this what is present world wide for decades is still unknown in US -
Spot on Scania man...We ran a 6x2 tag axle Volvo F10 rigid for years on bulk tipper work and it used to run rings around both 6x4's and 8x4's on site work,on the road,on ice...everywhere. Far superior on diesel and a better delivery of power to the wheels aswell. Once this setup is perfected for US conditions,it will get as popular as sex!

Thank you Pablo. Now I see why do you like so much these electronical stuffs. Deffinitely I would spec a truck differently myself too, if not me would be the driver too.
