I went to crete's web site to see what there pay and benefits where....Not bad, I hear a lot more good about crete then bad..However what pissed me off is they think if you stay out for six days you EARN a day off.... (No pay just a day off like the dispatchers/office staff there get) WTF Prisons offer days off for good behavior....
CRETE..ITS YOUR DRIVERS THAT MAKE YOU RICH >>>YOU NEED TO EARN THERE RESPECT....How about every six days a PAID DAY OFF.... Needless to say I want be working for them.
.They didnt EARN it...
Crete...You think a day off is earned...

1 day off for every 6 days out is pretty standard in this industry...and the office staff doesn't get paid for their day(s) off on the weekend, why should you? Nobody OWES you a #### thing...you've got to earn it.
-
Just wondering for my own info do factory workers get paid weekends off? How about any other job profession? I would love to work for the one that does offer paid days off. All this time I must of been looking in the wrong places...
Lilbit Thanks this. -
DO you have to earn days off? Is all im saying..One earns sick leave, Paid vacations, SO now these companies want us to earn a regular day ...????
Go ahead and subscribe to this way and become a slave to corp america..... -
All companies say something along those lines. It's to keep drivers on the road. Most don't enforce that policy unless a driver is taking to much time at home.
That company has to pay for that truck, insurance and all that, It's costing them money sitting in your driveway. SO yes, They will make sure they are maximizing the profits on that truck. Talk to any Owner Op out there, they will tell you the same thing. Time off costs money.Dinomite Thanks this. -

what company pays for days off? i don,t know of any. one day off for every week worked doesn,t mean you get a day off every week in this industry. you most likely be out 3-4 weeks then take 3 days off at one time. in this economy you should be gratefull to have a job. ok..i,ll get off the soapbox lol
