Craig and Anne....Have FUN!!!!!
Adkhunter....Congratulations on the new job!!!!
I'm running around in circles......Just last week I ran US35 out of Dayton, through Charleston, Wytheville, to Charlotte.....and yesterday/today did the same thing except I ended up south of Raleigh....LOL....gave my truck a stern lecture about NOT acting up in Charleston and she did really good....LOL -
Just wondering if the idle controlled trucks (ones that shut down if ambient temp is 23-70 degrees outside) cause teams as much headache as they cause us? Were going to quit a great dispatcher on a great dedicated route. It seems to have pushed us over the edge. Were just not sleeping like we need to. We've been doing the same run for over year and the last 3 times out we just dread being at work. The only thing that has changed is the idle control on our truck and we went to a international from a freighliner. USX is by far the best company we have worked for and we may just be burnt out.

That's what I did. And I don't wait for them to tell me to go home either...LOL

You should post this on the facebook page. We are not big fans of it either

It's been awhile because they have been running me ragged.
I did make it home in time for my party. From what I can remember I had a great time.
I lucked out because this student lives about ten miles from me. They sent him home and we met up when it was time for me to go back on. Now he is at about 85 hours. We finally got a 34 on Fri/Sat and picked up a load going to Baltimore out of Chester, SC. Unfortunately it doesn't deliver until tomorrow afternoon. I am ready to run team but that's not going to happen until the TC gets in on Monday.
Apparently my last student didn't make the upgrade. I hope I never get another one like him again. If I do I will try to cut him loose.
That's it. Nothing real special to report. Just running hard and making money...just the way I like it. Planning on going home the 2nd week of November then staying out until Christmas.Wedge Thanks this. -
Man, what a great time in Vegas. In spite of my better judgement, we stayed at the Hooters Hotel and Casino since it was directly across the street from the MGM and was half the price. Very pleasantly surprised. Nice rooms and great service. Also has a great pool. I came out on the plus side in gambling and Jimmy Buffett was awesome as usual and my daughter loved the concert . Now sitting at the Wild Wild West truck stop and casino. Got to watch a ton of football in their sports book and waiting on a Preassign. A very successful weekend. Ready to get back to work.
Wedge Thanks this. -
Crap, sleet on the windshield this morning in Salt Lake City. I am NOT ready for winter.

Hey everyone! Been a long time since I posted on here. I upgraded about a month ago, but started running 2 days after that and have not had the chance to get on here to post lol. So far I am loving being on my own, I got a 2011 Freightliner, got all my things in it, and am just happy to see money coming in.
Duston, buy a 2x4 and wedge it between the drivers seat and the clutch pedal, forcing the clutch pedal to the floor. This will fool the programming and should allow your truck to continue idling.
Hope everyone is well. Be safe out there and god bless. Oh, watch out for this large storm lol.
