I didn't care much for their wording either. It's like being served soup on a salad plate.

I worked for crete for 2 years started 2008. In my two years with them, they never got me home on time. Usually a week or so late ...not just a few times, but everytime. I missed every personal appointment I ever made. Often they gave loads to other drivers that would have got me home, but they tell you that Hometime is not a priority for them. I sat many times for days waiting for freight and they did not pay layover....not one cent. In 2008 I spent a total of 41 days waiting for freight without pay.
You can find a better company.
    Just my 2 cents

I have been with them for over 10 years now. Rare is the time I have been late getting home when I wanted to. Never missed an appointment. They have gone out of the way (with prodding, of course...) to swap loads to get me there. I also swap loads to help other drivers get home. I do hear from some that they have problems and I would never claim they don't exist, but I can only recall 1 time in 10 years where I was not home on time.
The layover deal is right though...they do not pay layover if it's because of no freight.:biggrin_25513:
