You want someone to take you and your GMC 4000 from Albert Lea, MN to somewhere in Florida, is this correct ? Also, are you able to pay for this service, or should we assume you want someone to do this as charity ? I'm just asking to make sure I understand the situation.

it should be easy enough to get your truck moved, just call a broker and set it up. partial load for stepdeck w/ramps or check about car hauler. It would be kind of odd to ask to ride along. But I guess you could ask.

p.s. - did a quick check on loadboard and there's an 8000 lb. shipment from Centerville, MN to Port Everglades, FL with only $1000 as rate, and a 12000 lb, 25 ft shipment from Des Moines, IA to Miami @ $1600. to let you know how cheap you might be able to get it done for.

That size chassis will not work on a car hauler, it needs a flat, step or RGN.

Moving this to the flatbed side of the forum to see if anyone can help you out.

Call Mid West transport. Theyre based right close to you in Rochester, Mn. Or maybe Valley Transportation.

I agree, call a broker or local stepdeck company and get it moved. Don't tell them you are in a hurry tho as the rate will just go up.

But all that said, expect to pay well over $2,000 to get it moved (being realistic)

I dunno, his truck probably only weighs 12,000 or so. I'm not saying I'd haul it for less than 2k, but I'll bet lot's will if it's not out of route and they got the room. Heck, I put a forklift on this morning for 1k, but it was right on route and about half the miles. I dunno what I'd do if somebody asked to ride along, probably tell them they can ride in THEIR truck on the back ! I'm kind of reclusive though, some guys might love to have somebody to chat with on the way. I don't know if you're still stuck there, but if you send me a pm I can send you names and numbers of a few brokers, I know of one that specializes in partial shipments out of that area. Of course any of your big name, well known brokers could set you up. What's wrong with the truck anyways ? You gonna have to have somebody push it on to load ?
