Won't be too bad. I've got friends w/ in 30 min of delivery, grabbed $250 cash from ATM, and have snacks on the truck. Worst case the company makes me shut down if CT closes interstates to trucks (often with storms) the trick to Ct when that happens is get to RT-8 or Berlin Turnpike and ride either till you get to MA and jump on I-90. RT-8 is conveniently located 1.2 mi from delivery so reguardless ill be able to get out.

Waverly, NE @ TSC. Lol, number 19 on the board. WTF!?!?!?!?!? So much for the pre plan out of here that I was near assured of. I really don't understand the lack of productivity that is going on with the planners/supervisors/fm's. It just feels like their method of giving you your next load is to close their eyes and try hitting the red balloon with the crooked dart at the fair. Last year this division of the company is rumored to have barely made money depending on how the p&l is analyzed. The planners are the hub of the company. If we don't employ competent professionals to do the job, then nobody stays happy. (From the board to the drivers.) Even though I'm sure plenty are pissed at the wages per mile, I belive it would be tollerable if consistently good miles were ran. The company knows when and where 90% of the freight picks up and delivers significantly ahead of time. Days...if not weeks are already known. You cannot convince me that we cannot be planned with a higher level of productity which results in less sitting. In turn, more wheel spinning i.e. MORE MONEY FOR ALL! You know....I'm not even upset. I've already learned that this rollercoaster is normal, and muc nworse at other organizations. I can and will stick it out, but someone really needs to admit that this current model of deployment is not working. Being honest with themselves would allow for change. My 2 cents. Right now there is a significant amount of focus from the company spent on managing us. Even in our employee manual it states that one of the primary dnctions of the fm is to essentiallytalk us off of the ledge when upset. Managing people is one of the principle points in successful leadership. However, the same school of thought demands that effective systems are utilized in order to remove red tape.
