anyone gotten one of these in the mail yet? i guess tennessee hopped on the bandwagon with the med cards being in the drivers license database. if you have not gotten one, in a nut shell, it reminds you of your current med card expiration date. you have to get a new med card and fax/scan it and email via PDF to the given address ir your CDL will automatically be downgraded to a class d operator license.
i got the letter last week and my card expires mid december. plenty of leeway if you ask me. i remember reading here on TTR that this was already happening in some states, and now we can add tennessee to that list as well.

I can't say that I remember NC ever sending out a letter. I just renewed mine a few months ago.
-
South Dakota is doing that also.
-
I got my letter from NC 2 weeks ago.
-
I haven't gotten one yet,but my card doesn't expire until may.
-
I think NC is behind on this or there is a paper shortage. I will call them Monday since I mailed my form in and have never gotten a response back as some states respond they received what you sent in.
-
huh....maybe they are still getting in gear with the card now being attached to the CDL so you don't have to carry the extra proof card around with you.
-
I did not get a reminder physical but our company knew about the law. I got the form from the doctors office, kept a copy and mailed the original to the state. A few weeks later I got a letter from the state saying that they had received it and it would be attached to my license. A few weeks ago I went in to renew my haz-mat and had them check and sure enough there it was.

It is part of a Federal mandate, so everyplace should be getting with the program, they won't want to jeopardize losing Federal funding for anything!

This is getting scary , hello 1984.
Flexing database muscles and the added nonsense of the real id act, criminals don't follow these rules so why subject law abiding citizens to them .
Answer control .
It is not okay to downgrade your earned license if you have failed to meet a regulatory requirement that never existed in such fashion before.
If you don't have a current med card and get caught then you get fined and put out oos.
I fined these downgrade practices absurd and quasi criminal in nature. Subjugating due process.
They increase the health standards to near ridiculous levels when they know full well how this industry works, then tighten the control grid to ensure compliance.
When in fact they have not done one single ####### thing to actually help the people they supposedly are keeping in compliance.
You are the reason for there existence, not the other way around.
Some day Some day a reckoning will occur for these injustices .NavigatorWife Thanks this.
