the piston tops is wear proof from the incetors working perfectly since i was running the injetor treatment. as for proof of the motor i ran a full 1,500,000 before i did rods and mains and they still where way within specs i just did them since i was worried that with that many miles they would be worn out. also the block was super clean on the inside with no signs of sutt, carbon build up. it looked like the inside had been steam cleaned. my oil samples all came back with less metal and carbon levels than any motor i have ever had. also lucas does increase oil pressure about 10 lbs as well as the compound of lucas causes it to stick to the walls, bearings and other parts of the motor and provide lube during start up. I have hd the same results on sampling on all the motors i have all the rears and trannys. i even bought a truck that had a bearing going out and winning in the front rear. i ran 2 gallons lucas with 90w and it lasted a year and a half. there are 2 products i stand behind. 1 is lucas products the second is PB blaster. If all these is not enough than i dont know what to tell you. run what you want how you want i will always use lucas.
Why do people use lucas "oil stabilizer"?

But you're not doing an a/b comparison.
My volvo has 1.5 million miles on the original injectors, I never ran Lucas fuel treatment or any treatment. I did 100,000 mile oil changes and soot was never above .2%. Wear metals were also extremely low, iron would hit about 30 and the rest would be below 3. I've never seen an engine with oil samples so good.
My dads Volvo has 1.5 million miles and the head has never been off. It still gets 8+ MPG regularly. No lucas. Edit: He's also #1 for fuel mileage in our fleet every quarter. He's had a few quarters above 8 MPG.
All of your observations are simply conjecture. Increasing oil pressure is simply because the oil is very thick. I could do that running 20w50. The "compound" of lucas is extreme thickness, nothing else. There is nothing magical in Lucas.Heavyd Thanks this. -
i disagree. i have seen better fuel mileage better durablity better everthing since i started running lucas. i run all big nose trucks getting 7 mpg running the mountains thru pa and wv. yes lucas is very think out of the bottle thats because it blends with you oil and thins out. it does have compounds that allow it hang onto the walls and so forth. with 1.5 million on the motor and it could have gone with out being touched its working. but again its your truck i just wanted to share my GREAT exp of lucas vrs reg oil.

Please show me the reports you have indicating better fuel mileage with Lucas.
This is part of the problem, people "feel" a product works, but does it actually work? For that you need testing. How many people actually properly test a product?
edit:
Lucas doesn't even test "oil stabilizer". Yet everything I've seen indicates that it does nothing but bad things.Heavyd Thanks this. -
well my ifta read outs show before using lucas i was averaging 6 to 6.5 mpg after lucas i was avg 7

Like it's been said a few times already. It's your truck do with it as you wish. This is the type of topic that people are just going to disagree about. You've been given examples yet you still push the issue.
You don't like it it. Ok we get it. Don't buy it.GrowinupMX Thanks this. -

Show me before and after dyno tests to claim a horsepower increase
Show me IFTA reports to claim a fuel mileage increase - or at least real pen and paper numbers, not "went from around this to around this"
Show me before and after oil analysis to claim reduced wear in the engine
Until that happens, this is all just channel 19 truck stop ########.
SHOW ME PROOF!Heavyd Thanks this. -
I want to know more about the 1.5 million mile Volvos. That's awesome!
Getstepn Thanks this. -
yea really lets hear about these 1.5 million vovlo with 100,000 mile service jobs. If i posted all the lab sample reports my ifta report and everything else i would lock up this server. as for you showing proof what proof have you shown. all you have done is said its bad. and no lucas does not void warranties. you are the type of guy that thinks factory ecm settings are the best you can do and if you change it they will void your warranty also. guess what not true either freightliner is the ones who told me to change my ecm setting and to turn my injectors from 14% to 70%. If you dont like lucas fine but dont get on here telling lies about a product. I dont like cummns heavy duty motors but i dont get on here saying they are crap. as for it being to thick yea if you ran straigh lucas it would be to thick but when you are 10 to 20% your in perfect specs of any motor specs. at 10 % my oil pressure at op ranges is 60psi with out lucas a detroit runs just over 50psi at 20 % i hit 65 psi and detroit mannual says up to 80 psi. so i am well with in range. when the oil sampling labs ask me if i sent in new oil by mistake something is good. so we can turn this into a kids i say he says bs or we can be adults here and relize you dont like lucas and will say what ever and i have ran lucas and have seen the results first hand and just leave it be opions are like ########## everyone has one.
Colorato and GrowinupMX Thank this.
