Time has come to get a new truck, I went for another star with a Detroit.
Most things are good but I would like better mpg,s and a little more hp, I'm having withdrawals from the C16.
I loved the CAT but had to move with the times, I need to know what upgrades I can do?
I have looked at Bully dog but cant find anything on the DDEC VI, BD would be the best bet for me as I live half way around the would and shipping ECM's would be to difficult and would probably affect my warranty.
Any idea's????
Help with a DDEC VI (6)

Does your engine have a dpf and egr? I know diesel spec has a mileage/performance tune and can shut off the egr, but not the dpf. I imagine pdi offers the same since they work together on there tunes.

really look for guy who works with DDCT.
D-6 really is new Mercedes/Temic ECM and it works with FR (ADM-3) control unit (also called VECU). It is password locked but I used to call hot line and they say password w/o problem -
it has EGR only no DPF.

Series 60? ore Mercedes PLD? Ore Mercrdes CRD (new detroit)

Its a Series 60, We are a few years behind the State's when it comes to emissions.
-
with series 60 it is easier to change ECM with DEEC-V
