Thanks. I made that bracket myself using a piece of 1/8 thick steel flat stock I bought at the hardware store. Truth is it wasn't hard at all to make...all I used to bend it was a vise and a ball peen hammer and a big crescent wrench. Before I made the bends, I used a drill press to make the holes. Then I used a pneumatic cut off wheel to cut the metal to specs, and a bench grinder to round off the sharp edges.![]()
how did u mount your amp

You can buy small "L" brackets at any Lowes or Home Depot, and some small self tapping screws, then just attach the L bracket's one on each side of the Amp with the screws....Just be sure to check inside the Amp before attaching screws to make sure your not going to hit anything...Try to hit the heat sink.

was going to drill two holes and make a bracket but didnt want to drill any components or get shavings inside the amp, Im hesitant to take the cover off because there is a seal on he amp that says warrantee void if removed. This is the best/most professional looking way to go IMO. thanx boys!

I swap my radio from a couple of my pickups. I built a couple of (I think pretty sweet) brackets mounted on the floor, that the radio sits in and tilts up, then just have a velcro straps I strap the radio down so it's easy to get in and out. I too have a midnight special 250 amp, I been trying to figure a way to mount it. I thought about taking a couple of pieces of half inch flat strap, making a sharp 90 degree bend about a quarter inch on one end of each piece of the flat strap. then take another piece of the flat strap, and measuring the width of the cooling fins and welding the the other piece of flat strap under the 2 with the bends in the back to keep the amp from sliding back, kinda a saddle the amp will sit in. Then weld that onto the side of my radio bracket, spaced out about a half inch or so, so my velcro straps will go between the amp and radio. Then get another smaller velcro strap and strap it down to make it easy to get in and out. only thing holding me back, anyone think it could cause it not to cool good enough since it does build a little heat?
