They know exactly what they are doing.. They are trying to sell it for a profit. Most investors don't care about the operations they want to see the profit loss... I bet in 5 months Greatwide is sold again.
Greatwide dedicated transport brings disfunctional to a whole new level!!!

Just left greatwide charter steel div/saukville,WI&Cleve,OH. this past week. Both trucks assighned to me (1 taken away for returning afgan vet). BOTH! were wasted inside! The 2nd one they refused to give me a new mattress (will post pics on new post soon!/pics on way to wisconson board of health/FMCSA branch office/wisconson labor depart/wisconson DOT/greatwide corp office in dallas.)...The 2nd rig actually had mold growing in it and (SOMETHING GREEN? growing on the wall fabric???)and under the WATER DAMAGED/Bowed flooring???? MOLD!!!. the mechanics dont clean them! the safety officer never got the ok for me to take it to the blue becon... dispatch= "you have to clean it at your own expense&on my hometime" (quote from blue becon....$ 450/not counting the purchase of a mattress)... the 1st night in my 2nd rig all the air leaked out! the mech. said its normal????? "Yeah right!"...$20 tarp pay, No detention pay (avg load time 5hrs), no driver assist pay during loading or unloading(upto 5hrs lost per load)....34hr restart hometime.... no communications between shop & dispatch (driver responsible/ if mech says 2hrs and it turns into a overnight repair....NO HOTEL OR BUNKRM. ... your sleeping in a 15yr old filthy yard truck! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!)Showers at saukville terminal--- Nasty (except for the 1 in the main office/closes at 430pm). Dispatchers have a attitude towards drivers "why? I have not a clue". they want you to p/u your load from droplot, secure it(1.75hrs) all while on your 10hr break.. drivers thier are nothing more than meat in a seat! worst place i ever worked...Now you know why thiers all those prostars sitn parkn and empty in saukville, WI, rising sun, OH, and clev,OH terminals... "1 more thing- I delivered my last load for them this past sat morning in rising sun ohio charter steel plant. a greatwide driver parked his rig (Still hooked to a loaded trailer) walked inside told charter thiers your load have fun.... and quit! left his truck&trlr parked thier to be unloaded....

There's a couple of places i go to that are pretty much run by greatwide, and i see their drivers whipping around like they are on a race track. One of them almost ran over one of the managers who was doing a lot check. I ran over to see if he was ok, and he was LIVID. "Wtf is with drivers they have to drive in that big of a hurry around our lot?"(the speed limit at that yard was 15mph.) I informed him that i see this kind of crap all the time nowadays., he had praised my company for being good about it, but was ready to kick the offending gw drivers' ###.

Does anyone have any info on DE Transport (Greatwide affiliate) out of Dallas? They claim to pay 50cpm, 3000-3500 miles a week out for 14 days, home for seven. Wondering how much of that, if not all is fiction.
