Can someone tell me when Eaton came out with the 22918B? And possibly a good place to find a rebuilt one?

is that what is in your truck now? if not why such a high tourqe trans. if your doing heavy haul then ok. but if your doing regular freight a 18918B will work as well and be a little cheaper.

Moving oil rigs in North Dakota. Plan on building a little power and want to start with a capable drivetrain. Thanks for all the quick replies and info.

I had a shop tell me that the 18 and up series trannies are all the same that eaton just rates them higher and charges more for the warranty. Doesn't sound right to me but im not a gear man. Anybody know?
