I wear wolverines and I get them wet. They are about two years old now and no problems. I got them from a local TS. I've never heard of Marks and can't comment on them.

Get yourself a pair of carolinas they'll last ya 2 plus years

The boots at marks really have gone in the crapper lately. I spent the big bucks on a pair of redwings, they come with a serious gaurantee and are gauranteed water proof (yes leather work boots). they cost twice as much but are worth 4 or 5 times more.

CAT boots pretty good too! Get them at Gregg Distributors.

Its Redwings or bare feet.

Thanks for that link ralph.
I thought it was just me having issues with the boots from Marks but now i see it's not. Up until last year i could get a full year out of a pair of work boots/shoes but now i'm lucky to get 6 months out of them before there's nothing left of the sole. -
Marks does have a limited selection of Canadian made boots, Canada West, I believe. Made in Winnipeg. I have only seen the cowboy-style boots (which I got).

I go for the Terra nova boots made in Habour Grace, Newfoundland, Canada.... better boot and same company make boots for the Canadian Military and Navy... if it good for the military then it is good for me

First pair of steel toes I bought was from wal-mart. They lasted almost 3 years before I had to get rid of them. Somewhere between 85 and 100 bucks. Had to put some Dr. Scholl's in them a couple of times but the outside was fine.
Never buy from Marks/L'equiper. Nothing there you can't get cheaper and of the same quality somewhere else.
