The transporter is the HET-S... Heavy Equipment Transport System, if I remember correctly. Don't remember the nomenclatures offhand (I was a Combat Medic in the military, not a Motor Transport Operator). I think most, if not all of the axles on the trailer turn in order to provide a shorter turning radius. The power unit has a central tire inflation system (CTIS) where air pressure in the tires can be adjusted with the push of a button

When that moved across So Ca I went and checked it out at a few stops. The trailer was better than the Rock. There was 3 trucks hooked to the trailer, one truck in front and two in the rear.

The same company builds them for your country's military, although the configuration is a little different, and those are powered by a Caterpillar C18 rated at some 700 horsepower.

I applaud all who do heavy hauls. I dont think I'd have the guts to do some of this stuff, but its pretty cool seeing different things shipped. Thats why I must enjoy the show "Shipping Wars"
