Well, Ducky, it's good to see you're still soldiering on. :biggrin_25525: I'm glad to see that you're okay and it was only the truck that tuckered out and not the driver!

At long last DH is beginning his classes next Monday at Chattahoochee Tech, and since you attended a GA school for your CDL training I've alerted him to your great threads. I told him that they are a wonderful introduction for the newbie for not only the helpful school tips but also the trucking industry. Just in case he pops up in your threads his moniker is mojo rising.

I'll let ya get back at it. Keep up the great work!

    10-14/10-26

As stated in a previous post my turbo went out on me back on the 14th. Got paid for the loaded miles I ran on Sunday and also breakdown pay and layover until Thursday afternoon. The good folks at my terminal made things up to me by giving me a system run out of Charleston SC going to Ohio for delivery on Saturday noon. Picked up a load out of Cincinatti on Sunday, 10/21 and delivered it on Monday afternoon back down in Georgia. Got routed back to the Atlanta terminal because I was going to make a run up to Chattanooga on Tuesday and do a dedicated load on Wednesday. Looking at my hours I only had enough to do one or the other so I chose the dedicated run obviously.

As fate would have it, my load got bumped to Thursday after I had already came home on Tuesday for a short break (could have done the Chattanooga thing after all). Wound up having Tuesday and Wednesday off so I went hunting Wednesday. Shot a 6 pointer after being out of the woods for almost two years due to my injury. I thought that was cool. Took the dedicated load up to Indiana on Thursday and got back home last night around 11pm. Have the weekend off.

My truck is due for it's 90 day service so I have to have it at the Atlanta terminal on Monday and am suppose to do some local stuff afterwards. Go back out over the road on Tuesday. Truck seems to be running good. Hopefully it will hold up for a while now.

    Be safe out there.

FYI, if traffic on 285 is really bad just run GA-11 in Winder to US-78 (for 1/4 mi), then GA-138 all the way down to morrow / stockbridge area. You won't set any land speed records but it will save time and stress.

I run 11 in and out of Winder too. I run it all the way to Monticello or Gray. Much better than atl traffic.

Kind of an uneventful week. Did some local work Monday 10/29. Ran a dedicated load up to Indiana on Tuesday, came back Wednesday. Had Thursday and Friday off. Attended a quarterly safety meeting this morning then did some local work for the rest of the afternoon. Got home around 5pm.

Head out early Monday morning, like 4am, to Indiana again. Be back in Tuesday evening. Not sure what the rest of the week holds. Probably won't be much since I have to be back by Friday for senior night at my sons high school. They introduce all graduating seniors with the parents. Pretty cool.

Anyway, still loving the company and the job. No complaints here. Be safe out there.

Glad to see after some time you still like Superior.
Have you had any problems out of that International.

It has been in the shop twice since I got it. Not sure what was wrong with it the first time, all I know is it got fixed (it did not break down on me. i just reported something was wrong with it and it needed to go to the shop). The second visit to the shop was for the turbo. It went out a few weeks ago. Seems to be running like a champ now.
