I'm boosting 27psi but its really slow to build boost compared to our 600hp isx. For example if i'm pulling a hill, drop half a gear, and get back on the throttle it almost a full second before the guage even moves. But when it does it goes right to 25-27. It doesn't miss and there is 1 new injector in the motor. From what I understand if the truck ran rough it could be an injector but it doesn't. The truck feels like it runs good but not the isx 600. What are some common problems that may cause this?

What he said....then if it checks good, pull the turbo and check the divider in the turbo and manifold. Also check the turbine wheel....

Check fuel pressure and install sight glass to make sure no air in fuel it may also need to have fts fls changed has it just started this or has it been doing this for a while

Check your boost sensor , it will cause the boost rise slowly

Slow build up of boost can be caused by a number of different things.

the wastegate actuator/diaphragm on the turbo could have a broken spring in it allowing the wastegate in the turbine housing to open at low boost pressures.

the aftercooler or the piping and hoses between the turbo and engine could have an air leak

as someone else stated the center dividers in both the manifold and turbine housing can crack and erode due to heat, this will cause slow response

another thing to look for is exhaust leaks in the exhaust manifold before the turbo. The slip joints leaking or cracks will lower exhaust gas back pressure before the turbo. This will cause slow response

Cetane+ and kat man Thank this.

How do you trouble shoot a boost sensor?
