Anyone familiar with this company? I have applied to Maverick and BCT. Which do you think would be a better company? BCT says they pay 25% of load. How much do you average per week if you get paid this way?
Builders Transportation??

From everything I have read about each of them they're both good companies, I m getting ready to go to training after being away for 10 years and hopefully I can get on with BTC. They seem to fit my needs better than any other company just my 2 cents

I am curently attending ATDS in Waco and hopefully I will graduate around Nov 2nd. So far I have looked into TMC and BTC. They both seem like really great companies and from what I have read TMC is a better company as far as safety and a little better pay but, BTC is more of the type of company I would like to drive for. Safety is lacking a little on BTC but, if you are doing your job as far as load securement and inspections then they can not be liable. Its only when you report and they do not act on it they are liable.

I would go with TMC. I worked for Builders as a Driver, Trainer and their Field Recruiter. They no longer care about their drivers. It's all about the dollar and looking out for their interests. It didn't used to be like that. They used to be one of the finest companies in the industry. I wouldn't give a dollar for the company now. Your financial guy is only interested in his finances and doesn't care less about the drivers. You will only be a dollar sign to them. If you can live with that then by all means go with Builders. Otherwise, I would go with TMC.

I worked for safety for a little while when I was with Builders also. Even with paperless log they want you to drive over your hours. Now..... that is really bright. I have seen what BTC has to offer, then and now and I will tell you that they are not the same company that they used to be. It used to be that they looked out for the drivers. Now, they don't. I have known too many drivers, trainers, trainees and office people that will tell you the same thing.

They are both fine companies. I drove for BTC for awhile and NEVER are you to go over hours on electronic logs. They like their drivers. I got free shirts, hats, ate lunch with with the V.P.s, new trucker lounge, open door policy to the office. You will know everybody who works there.
