Life After Roehl

Im yankin reefer all over and making better money than I would with Roehl.......... and I LOVE IT!!

 

This make the third time you went back right now right? they should put you on the side of that trailer that talks about grass isnt greener lol... J/K. i do hope it works out for you this time.

 

Just about any office position in the Transportation industry is salary. I'm one of the few to make the jump from truck to office and survive lol.. Alot of mine is right place at the right time.. Went in as a Fuel Haul Dispatcher and after Jan 2013 I will be transitioning over to Safety Coordinator, covering the 4 terminals that are run out of Spartanburg,SC.

 

No only 2nd, and I should have stayed but got a little greener grass syndrome.

 

Well, they recinded the part time dispatch offer, Monday I go in as a part time yard dog. At least I should be able to keep my backing skills up.

 

That stinks. At least you can work though.

 

Well, the yard dog only lasted one night, they want you to move 50 trailers between 3 yards 10 miles apart with a regular daycab in an 8 hour shift, for 104 dollars, now I ain't afraid of work, but get real.........I quit the company agian, second time in 3 weeks, and they called today to try to get me to come back and run Kohls or wally world frieght.

 

Shoulda said ill do it for $5 or so per trailer.

 

Made the switch over to my third company driving a red truck after a 14 month stint at Crete. Crete was similar to Roehl in regard to miles only the pay was a lot better. Hopefully my move over to Poly Trucking will be my last as I took another pretty good bump in pay with a lot more freedom as well. First month in the book and so far so good with them.

 

For those of you that left Roehl with a 401K, how does that work?
