I have hauled many company's trailers. We haul new trailers east for Wabash, and used trailers back west for them. I have hauled at least a dozen company's trailers in the past year or two.

In the last 13 yrs I've hauled trailers belonging to Simon, Schneider, Swift, Werner, Central, Transport America, England, JB Hunt, UPS, Fed-Ex, Prime, and I didn't work for any of them. All were loaded being delivered to a customer. It's all about contract work. Sometimes the owner of the trailer won't have enough equipment in the area to haul their own stuff so they contract it. I will say that Prime, UPS, Transport America have the best maintained trailers. Swift, JB, and Central have the worst.

This time of the year Swift rents out their excess trailer capacity. You will see alot of UPS hauling Swift trailers. Also there are lot of Swift trailers prestaged for Wal Mart and anyone may wind up pulling those trailers for Wal Mart.
The bad news, driving for Swift, finding an mt for pulling Swift freight this time of the year, becomes an adventure. -
I was at the Phoenix terminal about 3 weeks ago. I saw a Schneider truck in our yard, now I wish I'd have looked to see who's trailer he was pulling! I found it VERY odd that a Schneider truck was driving around at SWIFT headquarters!
