I would like some info on JBS I have been talking to them the past few days and of course the recuriter is gonna tell me every thing under the sun to get there. But I want to know from some one thats there or been there or just herd about them.

Seeing as the only thing I have found so Far in the company thread is just normal Refeer driver complaints, and one raving loony noob that didnt know what he was getting in too.

So How about it Drivers let know whats up !

Greetings Two of Five. I have been working for JBS over a year now. Like any (OTR) company you will have good and bad weeks. When I frist got here it was a pain in ###. Growing pains of a new trucking company. I put about $47,000 direct deposit into my B account in the past year. Yes that is my personal direct deposit from JBS.. BUT i STAY OUT AND WORK FOR OVER 60 DAYS OR 3 MONTHS AT A TIME. Then I go home for a few days. Now like I said. Good weeks and bad weeks. once I took home 350 dollars for a weeks work. yuck. Then I took home $1823 for week. happy. So there it is. They have good trucks newer petes and KWS. One thing I like about my dispatcher is she hardly ever calls me. QUAL COM. I hear they are going to get new Volvos soon. don't care about that. Just don't be late do some favors once in a while. It may seem like they forget that you did that but my fleet 4 maneger has a great memory. I only come on here today by accident. but check them out. I don't think you will be disapponted. LET GO AND LET GOD> Sanddragon.

Thanks for the Input there sanddragon.....I talked to amanda today in recuiting shes processing everything through so no snag there just 4 wheeler fender bender on record they wanted the report (hit a deer in my Girlfriends pick up). So Im hoping to get all the paper work done and fly out next week.

From what I have read I for see any thing out of the oprdanary....you just confirmed that what about the equipment?
Do there Trucks come with fridge or do i have to come home and get Mine?
what about APUs? do they have them ?
Power inverters if they dont have APUs are they allowed? and if so whats the limit on power ?

I think I have pretty well made up my mind to go with them given the lack of info on all the forums I have been in there is nothing out of the ordanary about them. Knowing drivers the why I know drivers if they were terrable there would a thread 2 miles long about them some place. So i think im gonna go with them and Ill start a thread to let the rest out there know whats up

Again thanks for the input there sanddragon hope to see ya out there :biggrin_255:

As far as i know JBS bought out EA Miller who had a meat works out a Hyrim Ut know a few drivers that work for them never heard any complaints they seem to have plenty of work, the only down side was i heard a real scum bag dispatcher by the name of Dale left LW's to go work for EA Miller now (JBS) hopefully JBS are a bit more aware of what harm Dale was doing for Driver relations.

Well as far as the recuiting process goes seems like pretty good place and the Recruter Im dealing with name is Amanda she seems to be pretty strait forward with things that in and of its self is rare for a Recuiter... She Took the time to call from her home to tell me that she was out of her office sick today and said if thought of any questions I could call her cell phone and gave me her number....... Oddest thing I have ever seen or heard of a recuiter doing EVER! Im hoping they will have me ready to fly out there some time this week or next. Ill keep you guys posted on this process see how it goes.

Also I would like to add that Im a thread counter and over 3 diffrent forums there almost 3 to 1 threads and comments talking like there a farely good company and every once in a while Ill see one thats negative. But im just goin through there recuiting process right now. The fun starts when they get me out to CO :biggrin_2559:

I been here over 2 years and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. The thing that might catch you off guard is that we haul primarily for JBS and Pilgrims Pride. You might get unloaded early in the morning and your next load might not pick up until 10 that night. Even if you had your pta set for 8am that morning. It doesn't happen all the time but you will get use to it. If you are near a plant. Some times the loads are ready earlier and of course sometimes they are much later. They will pay detention but only after 4 hours.

They are getting apu's on most of the trucks except for the ones they are about to trade in. They have 1500 watt inverters and you have to buy your own fridge. Also test for sleep Apnea if you are over 35 BMI and hope you bring records for any surgery's or workman's comp issues you have had previous. Anyway feel free to ask. I have a thread called real time trip planning that has my last 3 weeks so you can get an idea of how they plan loads and run you. Its in the experienced driver section. Anyway have a good day.

There is another page on here that has 6900 posts and 75% of them are bad. I was a trianer there for a year and had to bail out when I could only get 2000 miles a week as a trainer with a trainee in the truck.

Thanks for the info there Dinomite.....I think my BMI is under 35 so I might not have to worry about think last time i had it checked It was around 27 or 28. So i shouldnt have too big a problem there I have pulled Refeer before its been my experince that just about all the meat companys will make ya sit for a while before the next load. But I deal with it. Ill check your thread out too just to get a feel thanks again Dinomite
