I believe werner may be having finacial issues.Their equipment lately has been looking a little old. They may not of had enough trucks for the people there. The drivers are right when they say there is alot of jobs elsewhere.good luck

werner is one of few big truck companies debt free, but i can say they are spending a high amount of money in trucks that truck drivers just dont want to drive like a pete 386 with the smallest bunk in the business there's about 12 just sitting in allentown for dedicated accounts that drivers just dont want to drive

Werner is half owned by Swift because one of the owners of the company had a debt he needed to pay and that was the fastest way to raise the money. The company is run now by the sons of the founder, not the founder. And they are not as concerned about their employees. I worked there as a temp in the office before going to driving school, and did not even apply for a driving job with them.

You are better off with someone else if you have any special needs.

Sorry, but that's just funny! Werner is one of the starter companies that specializes in new CDL holders, and isn't all that picky about who the hire. They might be a bit more picky than CR England, but not by much.

Werner let swift borrow money because no body else wanted to give swift financing for new equipment, while the sons look like they don't care they are pushing some new things to make drivers life easier would they ever happen I'm not sure but it sure does look good on paper like sending preload info to your cellphone instead of being waiting on your cell phone like an idiot... Bad thing is that they are buying expensive trucks, peterbuilts and kenworth fully loaded based on looks and not flexibility or easy to maintain like freightliners(every t/a and petro is a authorized maintenance center) and international which are cheaply made but hey they run are aerodinamic and probably way cheaper to maintain. When you buy expensive trucks your profits will shrink and somebody has to pay the price and like snow sheet runs Dow hill and drivers are at the bottom and that's why we are poorly paid and they got a high turnover radio
