Ck king pins and alignment @ a different shop
When they jack the truck up they'll pull up on the rim with a big crow bar
If the top of the tire move more than a 1/4" replace the king pins
But you shouldn't be having king pin problems w/ 100k mi
    Worth checking though

Go to a different shop. The tandems are most likely out of alignment. The camber could be out on both sides of the steer, but I would bet on the rears. If you look at the drive tires, you should see alternating inside and outside edge wear on those if it is the rear axles.

dont forget to check the alinment on the trailer(if he pulls the same one all the time). it can contribute to it also.

I talked to an alignment guy awhile back he mentioned a company the he worked for was having the same type of problem. The fix was simple he adjusted the steering stops so the wheels would not turn so far. The reason being on the those trucks they tend to "lay" the wheels over and in a tight turning manuver it rakes the edges off. So if you give up a little turning ability you gain in tire wear.
