I lease a truck threw swift transportation. My lease is up may 3 2013 and I'm getting out of it. I called lone mountain and they said they could help me in April 2013 before lease is up. My question is where is a good place to take the truck to get a full dot done and dyno and oil sample done on it. Also about how much would that cost? I jumped into this lease with swift glad to have the learning experiencefrom it and what it all needs to be done to keep making money. Really like the o/o freedom but don't likes being tied down to swift and no control over my pay. Like making truck payment, maint. Ect.! I know leasing outside of swift ill get ahead and more experience under my belt.
April 3 2013 getting truck from lone mountain. where to go to get truck checked out?

You will probably need to go to a major truck dealer or find a engine distributor, such as Cummins to do the dyno and pull an oil sample. Any oil change shop or truck stop garage can do a dot inspection and most should be able to do an oil sample.

So how long have you been leasing the truck thru Swift and why do you not own it at the end of your lease????

I took mine to SelecTrucks of Omaha 1208 31st Avenue Council Bluffs, IA 51501 (712) 366-6440 Full Inspection and Dyno was $200 to $250 and that was with changing the ECM settings

Please update your Lone Mountain proceedings. I have been approved and was thinking about it...but I have read a lot of negative about them in "Rip Off" reports and "Scam" reports. I really want it to be good.

First off you are buying a USED truck!! If you want peace of mind or arent qualified to find problems BEFORE buying it then spend the money at a dealer to have them inspect the truck and run a dyno it!! Most guys who wrote those reports either didnt properly inspect the trucks or didnt want to spend the $200 to $250 for the dealer to do it!! If you want a "certified" inspectd truck go to the dealer and buy one off their lot. Lone Mountain helps people with bad or questionable credit get into their own truck; uying from hem is almost like buying from a private seller except Lone Mountain will finance it and fix ANYTHING you or the dealer find wrong with the truck!!reefer75 Thanks this. -
There have been several on this forum who have posted positive experience with Lone Mountain Leasing. Having never done business with them or known any who have had experience with them, I can't offer you first hand experience. If you are considering buying a truck from them, check back over some of the posts on the Lone Mountain threads and pm those who have done business with them. There are others who finance those with bad or no truck credit.
