Does not do well in my opinion to bad mouth companies as a whole, but it should be brought to light when something is going wrong at work. I have been keeping quiet about this till now. Last year my trainer drove over live train tracks in OH. with a hazmat load (coke product) and did not stop before the crossing, the trainer was also shifting the truck while over the tracks. Do to the accident last week in Texas that took four lives I felt this should be told. The trainer said it was a mistake, but only after the trainee (me) asked why did you do that. So, not a big deal if there's not a Big moving Train at the same time the truck is on the tracks. Maybe we just got lucky that day. Then we had a a day when the trainer almost ran straight into a medium at 50 mph trying to get on to the KS turn pike. The trainer would have hit that center medium with the six inch high curb at a pretty good clip, but the trainee (me) said look out !! and we came to a heavy stop, then continued on, no one was hurt. Even with past experience I felt that it was a very good idea to be retrained, but I am having second thoughts about doing it again with anyone. Later the trainer told me that he was going to report me for pulling down the sun visor with both hands, (it sticks tight in the cradle) I understand that, but just do not see any balance with this type of training. CRST has some good trainers, but you have to work hard to find them. Anyway I thought this should be brought to light. Happy Thanksgiving !!!![]()

FEELTHEWHEEL Thanks this. -
Is your trianer trying out for the Crash and roll stunt team?
Had it been me, i would of been on the phone in a nano second, to safety, and said the trainer says there was no train It doesn't matter, when pulling hazmat, we are under more rules, besides, the regular ones. You got placards on the all four sides, and you see RR. TRAX. You have to stop, look and listen.
I for one would of asked for another trainer, if that was an option.NavigatorWife, FEELTHEWHEEL, snowman01 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Thank you for taking the time to bring this event to light.Would you have written this post if he did not report you on the visor incident?
FEELTHEWHEEL Thanks this. -
Good trainers are few and far between unfortunately.Problem with companies is they don't care who trains. If they did then there would'nt be so many trainees having issues with their trainers. It's all about them making money.Companies do not care if you trainees quit, you're just hurting yourself. It's not right I know but that's how trucking is.
FEELTHEWHEEL and fancypants Thank this. -
