Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Well decided to sleep in late and just cruise down the road about half way to Tulsa and take some time to celebrate Thanksgiving. Stopped by Wally World in Colby, KS and picked up a nice rib eye and a few other things for grilling tonight. Finally got the charcoal lit through some pretty serious wind here in Hays, KS. Hope everyone is having a good day, especially all of my fellow brother and sister truck drivers away from the families today.

the company i am with is changing the perdeim something about new irs regs am very worried about this place thats why i wish poly would call soon . just had to sell back a weeks vacation to get house payment back on track . are any of you at poly hearing anything about a change in perdiem there at poly or are these people playing games with payroll i cant trust this company any more

 

Wow. that's not good. That is why I keep my company and pay to myself. If my boss could get 5 quality applications I would be out of a job or working for even less.

I appreciate the threads about good companys as i'm researching where to go next. this sounds like a good company.

Nowhere on Poly's web site will you find what this troll referenced. Plus, I can assure him/her Poly does not post on trucking forums.

 

Backhaul dispatch called about 0900 CT on Friday with load info. I picked up in Chillicothe,OH Friday afternoon going to El Paso,TX for Monday morning.

Spent the night in Rockwall as that is all the logbook would allow. Will pass through the yard later this morning to get fuel.

I used to drive for Stevens and they hold your hand constantly. You cant hardly go to the bathroom by yourself there. After 8 months I left for a local/regional job transporting new cars to dealerships. We are treated like big boys. They dont hold your hand on anything.

I go to the yard in the morning and get my loads. From there everything is up to me. When to deliver, order of delivery, routes, fuel stops, motel, truck maintenance, etc...

Im a big boy now and I love it!
