It's beginning to pick up here also. Hopefully cool35 you'll get called back soon. After the election we have been really busy, but still worried about it. Atleast with reddaway they get you home everyother day, that's a lot better than 38 hrs. Hopefully you'll get the call soon

I still talk to one of my friends who works at my yard and he said it's steady but not calling anyone back yet. I'm first on the list to go back though. He said there are gonna be some changes coming the first of the year? He doesn't seem to know what they are. Have any of you guys up north heard anything about changes coming in January?

Hey just an update. Still working up here in norcal, but very slow. I know its still slow down south their drivers hardly come up here anymore. I hope this is just seasonal, but really slow on the whole west coast. I,ve had to basically beg central for work for the last two weeks. Hope it picks up soon.

Well, I've been lucky enough to move up the board. No bids dropped here. Extra loads have tappered off some. Freight has slowed though especially coming from the west. There's something brewing though that sounds like we will get bigger volume of freight in a month or so. Been hearing it alot, so it's more reality than rumor. Hang in there!
-
I've been hearing the same rumor. I'm still laid off. Sounding like next month, maybe? I hope. I'm sick of running teams for FedEx Ground!

Cool 35 some good news I think. We have been sending drivers down to fontana to cover their Northbound up here, so obviously things are picking back up. It's been getting better up here slowly but surely also. Maybe you will get called back soon. I bet that FedEx teams is rough.

Im wondering which SoCal terminal is the best in your opinion, transfering down from the NW and have a choice, btw they are hiring at ORG and FON,looking at LAX,LOS or ORG so any tips helpful, thx.
-
Well all are ok I guess im from norcal. LAX is union but in a bad area compton. LOS is in downey about 8 miles down the road from LAX, and is non union. ORG besides FON is my favorite yard in socal. As far as amount of freight fontana has the most by far. I would think ORG is the best one its more by itself probably doesnt slow down as much in the winter.

Thanks for the reply,ORG is hiring for linehaul and just wondering where do they run to?average 2000-2500 miles now but hard trucking up here exspecially with the oldest trucks in the fleet,CA drivers dont know how good they have it,fact is they shipped 4 of our Volvos south, most our trucks are 10-15 years old with 1.5 million miles plus.
