hey guys so overall i feel like i want to go with central. im new tothe trucking field. i have my cdl so im good to go. but anways heres the thing i want solo. and solo quick. so when i get with my trainer for 5 weeks i feel like its too long. like how are those 5 weeks. are they horrible? because i like the fact after im going to be a regional midwest driver because midwest states license holders must do that route. but i dont like the 5 weeks thing. May offered 2 weeks which is fine. but i didnt like the OTR only. I like regional its better. im just worried about the trainer being asleep and I have a question. i get a hold of things quick but i need 1 or 2 weeks.

If the trainer is asleep when you have a question...WAKE HIM UP ! I did. I was onboard with a trainer for 30 days....It may seem long if you dont like your trainer. Many variable play out. I didnt like mine but I made it through while still managing to be respectful and professional. Seriously you will get on each others nerves at times but its part of the life....Dont take it personal.

I think 5 weeks is proper...1-2weeks is just plain not enough time to learn what you need to know to be on your own...there's more to trucking than just holding the steering wheel.

I agree. I needed every bit of those 5 weeks.
