I've gone back to the last page and working my way to most recent posts, seems that there were a lot of complaints 2-4 years ago, but tapered off in '11. Just wondering if things improved or that whole crop is just gone. I know that a ton of equipment has been replaced, so all of the old equipment gripes aren't around anymore. Just being curious.

I've been here for about a year and a half and have found it to be a pretty good place to work. No complaints at all really. There will always be whiners I guess.

I as well have nothing to really complain about. Everyone I talk to also says it isn't bad at all.

I can't complain too much either, I've left and come back twice. I think a lot of issues come down to dispatcher/driver relationship, if that is good, usually everything else follows suit.

2008 and 2009 were the worst two years for trucking company's EVER!! So I'm sure when Roehl was trying to adjust to the new bussiness enviroment that they found them selves in at the the time, there were some growing pains, and drivers were not happy, thus the large amounts of complaints. Lets just be happy they didn't go the route of the company I was driving for at the time. After 97 years in bussines, they just decided to say F#$K it and shut the doors, and send every one home....

It probably has something to do with almost everyone posting on here now is new to trucking or new to Roehl. They haven't even been around long enough to know what to complain about. A lot of people are just happy to have a job right now. Most of the people posting on here will be out of trucking or with a different company within two years. Treefork is the only guy that has been there a while and he has left twice. I was at Roehl 11 years and most of my issues were OTR issues not Roehl. But they ticked me off when they turned the trucks down to 63 and really ticked me off when they started routing me on all these back roads to avoid tolls causing me to have longer days and make less money. Roehl is pretty decent and I made some good money there but the nitpicking about stupid crap gets old.
