Twice this week I've gotten the please send in DVIR for previous day. I've learned to keep outgoing messages for a few days now and just send back " I did at (time). I used to forget before because of the elogs and they aren't right in front of you but I taped a note to Qualcomm and haven't missed one since.

Ok Nevermind, my own stupid fault put in wrong month. Right day and year but put 11 instead of 12. Oh well keep that in mind in a few weeks with the new year.

Do you have a TruckPC or QualComm? Its not just you, I punch in the right numbers plain as day and sometimes still get the message the next morning. Similarly when I send in the reefer loaded call I sometimes get back
"We indicate this is a temperature controlled load. The loaded call you sent was for a non-temperature controlled load."
I go to my out box and sure enough I entered "temp control "Y"" last time I checked "Y" means affirmative on our computers.
I never had to deal with either of those problems when I had the truck PC. QComs are good for their keyboards and the way they detect truck motion but that's about it.Bayle Thanks this. -
I have the Qualcomm.

It's for all drivers in your fleet. Just a reminder not to say u didn't or did. Also I get messages about being late, dvir, etc. I'm never late and send my dvir my fm said just disregard bc it's for the drivers that are late alot and never send it in. Like a mass text to the whole fleet
Bayle Thanks this. -
That please send in your 57 is an automated message from the system. If it gives you that just resend it and you'll be fine.

The point is you shouldn't have to resend it. Why send it in the first place then? Just wait for the notice and send it. I know it's a small thing but it's one of those annoying things and I hate to repeat myself. However like I said earlier I know yesterday was my fault as I put in the wrong date.
-
I dunno, I've never gotten it unless I forgot to send it or missed a required field.

I also miss that simple "Resend" button the TruckPC has in the outbox.
I assume the whole thing is just a bug in the system. If you've ever used both you can tell the message formatting is made to fit the PC's displays. Almost as if they had to shoehorn it into the QC units. That doesn't explain the inconsistencies though. -
It's a computer. Garbage in, garbage out. No one seems to understand (including programmers) that a computer is nothing more than a collection of on/off switches. If you don't throw your switches properly, or if a switch on your end or theirs doesn't work right the whole thing stops and you have to do it again.
