In response to Social's comment:
LOL @ that 1. Your right @ two things I'm a cry baby and that I work for a small company. But you are wrong about the company letting me idle.......I'm an o/o so I only idle when I really have to......for some strange reason it saves fuel> -
Have you considered getting a wrench and tightening the catwalk yourself? Just a thought. I think mine takes a 1/2" wrench or socket. It only takes a couple of minutes.Logan76 and MackDaddyMark Thank this. -
I always hate it when its a nice night out and you have the windows and vents open and the truck off.. You go to sleep with the peace and quiet.
Then you wake up later and smell it.. You are surrounded by bull haulers !!!!!! -
Here's a thought, fresh from an experience I had last night.
I had to stop at the first "picnic area" on I-84 going into MA last night. Now, if you've ever been in there, you know it's not the easiest place to get in and out of if it's near full. I get there around 1800, and proceed to pull around back into the truck area. Looks to be nearly vacant, except at the far end where there are three trucks. Just the end three spaces. I make it four. Why? Because at 0400, they're going to be the easiest to get out of without having to go over a curb or taking out a small shrub.
So, in your future parking endeavors my friend, consider the fact that if you are parking to plan for an easy exit (an absolutely valid and wise choice), there may be others that are having the same idea. I'll take easy over close any day, particularly if I have to leave at Oh-dark-30.allniter Thanks this. -
why can't reefer drivers just stay away from the truck stops??? they can park at Wal Marts and at Mcdonalds where they have 2 or 3 spots. that's ample parking for the likes of a reefer driver. and the same goes for the idlers! the last thing i want to hear at a truck stop is trucks. it isn't right!
Logan76 Thanks this. -
I've found a sure fire way to get other trucks to not park next to ya. Put straights on your truck and turn fan on and idle it up to 1200. Nobody parks by me.
socal Thanks this. -
Guess instead of replacing the o-ring most likely causing the air-dryer issue, it's easier to just say f-it and annoy the hell outta anyone in earshot. Don't care about idling trucks and such, but the air-dryer is a pet-peeve of mine as well, it's usually not difficult to fix....

I love lowboy exhaust with the idiot idling all night in 60 degree weather with my windows cracked and vent open.
