Eh Interstate is garbage...
I'm about ready to walk from the job and back to my original one. Interstate treats us locals like crap. 17 an hour, no overtime, expect us to run 5-6 days a week and 14-16 hours a day and run illegal (IDC uses paper logs). yeah, like I'd to that. right *rolls eyes*
Anyways, this is the first time in a while since I've dealt with liars at this level. I was originally told 19.51 an hour by a recruiter, and then found out it was 17... Straw 1.
Second one was the fact no overtime, that's a big deal for me..
Third issue is the insurance. The paper I signed said meds were 15 and 30 generic/brand and it's instead 15/60.
Fourth, There's the issue of God deciding that we need to double our workforce and have the same number of trucks, which is a quiet way to reduce our hours to garbage.
Fifth, there's no sick leave, there's no raises, and last of all if there's a problem in which the business shuts down for a day we don't get compensated for the time we should have had for work.
Those are my complaints, and.... I'm about done with IDC. Time to move on.. I got every endorsement, my TWIC, and passport..
Local interstate driver complaint..

I work in California. Laws are the same here... Of course it's federal laws Interstate is breaking. Federal laws say over 40 hours = overtime. I have the last 2 months of my log records and in another month I will go to the labor board. If people just quit instead of actually taking action you let companies win. I have been collecting records for this action.

Well believe it or not Federal Law has nothing to do with it. Actually Federal Law states that transportation workers are exempt from getting overtime. Right now I forget the name of the Act that it fall under. So it would be state law that you would have to look under and I don't think California has a law like that. Anyway good luck.
